 Day 3 - Monday - 14/04/14

I spent a very enjoyable day with Sally MacCabe, mixed media artist at her lovely home in St Ives, making simple sketch books.

Starting point. a piece of hand made paper for the cover

4 pieces of watercolour paper for the inside signatures

 Stitch the pages together
 Finished book ready for painting.

Painted papers drying waiting for use in my book. Used acrylic paint, and mono printing technique to create lots of lovely background papers.
Almost finished book.
Excellent day

Day 2 - 13/04/14

Quiet day today, spent walking round the town, looking at the shops and down on the beach.
Collected pottery shards from the beach by the lifeboat station. Hope to use them for a mosaic in the garden at home. Paddled in the sea, not as cold as I thought it would be.

This beach is a scavengers delight for pottery, what I want to know is where does it all come from??
However i took this picture at about 19.00 and there is a beautiful full moon so I took these pictures

The pictures do not really do it justice, the moon is really clear.
